Carolyn Winick Schlossberg (86) passed away at home on May 7, after a short battle with cancer. Carolyn was born August 19, 1934 in Muncie, Indiana. She graduated from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. She married Alan Schlossberg on May 27, 1956, and they raised their family in the Chicago area. They moved to Dallas in 1980. They were happily together until his death in 2010. Carolyn was a tax accountant, serving over 30 years at Vogel CPAs, until she retired at age 82. She is survived by children Kim (and partner Walter Wm. Hofheinz) of Dallas, Mark (and wife Ruth) of Chicago, and Michael (and wife Karen) of Lucas and four loving grandchildren whom she cherished and loved to cook for: Ari, Adam, Eli and Lauren, and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by brother Darvin (and wife Veta) Winick of Rancho Cucamonga, California, and their children, spouses and grandchildren, and many very close cousins and friends. Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband Alan, and her parents, William and Hazel Winick. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Vogel Alcove (www.vogelalcove.org) or Regarding Cancer (www.regardingcancer.org)
