Carolyn Gail Miller went home to the Lord on September 24, 2024. Gail, as she was known to all, was born on November 30, 1945 in Austin, Texas to Linson and Bernice Hall. As a child she enjoyed spending time at the Pursley family ranch in Dripping Springs Texas with her Grandparents, Parents and many cousins.
Gail met and married her husband of 52 years in Austin. They moved their family to Burnet Texas in 1978 and considered themselves Burnet Bulldogs from that point on.
Gail worked at Contel phone company in Burnet for many years and formed many cherished friendships with her coworkers. She then worked for Dr. John Hudson, an ophthalmologist in Burnet until he closed his office.
Gail was always thinking of others and was very generous in giving her time to Volunteer. She spent time in the children's ministry, youth group, Main St. Bethlehem, and helping facilitate Grief Share sessions at First Baptist Church in Burnet.
Nana, as she was also known, enjoyed spending time with her family. She enjoyed organizing week long family trips for vacations and made sure her children and grandchildren made as many memories as possible. She was an avid sport fan with her favorite sports being any that her grandchildren played. From Burnet Bulldogs, Crawford Pirates, to Schreiner Mountaineers, she was always there. Nana Gail was a proud member of the Nana Squad.
Carolyn Gail Miller was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, and loving husband Billy. Gail is survived by her children; daughter, Brenda Fernandez and husband Mark, son Brian Miller, and daughter Brittany Villa and husband Rufino. Grandchildren; Seth Rowney and wife Kristyn, Raeghan Rowney and Drew Ritter, Jordyn January and husband Hunter, and Cecelia Villa. Great Grandchildren; Kaedyn, Kinzy, and Cash Rowney, Alice Levy, and Banx January. As well as many cherished family members and friends whom Gail dearly loved.
The family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to the staff and nurses at Kingsland Hills Care Center for their love and care for Gail. Also a heartfelt thank you to Brother Doug and her Church Family at First Baptist Church. Lastly, a very special thank you to New Century Hospice and their team of Angels.
Visitation will be Saturday September 28, 2024 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Burnet from 4:00-6:00. A private graveside service for immediate family will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to First Baptist Church of Burnet, or the charity of your choice.
