SUMMERTON, SC - Carolyn Jo Parkinson Branson, 81, died Wednesday, March 31, 2021, at McLeod Health Clarendon.
Born February 3, 1940, in Muncie, IN, she was a daughter of the late Max Arnold Parkinson and the late Josephine Barbara Hancock Parkinson Fullerlove. She was a hostess at Captain's Quarters Restaurant and a member of the Orangeburg Area Shag Club.
She is survived by three children, Rick Eugene Cox (Lucy) of Loveland, OH, Paula Cox McNair and Ronnie Lee Cox, both of Summerton; three grandchildren, Madeline Jane Cox, Samuel Eugene Cox and William Robert McNair; a great granddaughter, Logan Jane Himes; and a cousin, Cheryl Pettigrew Graves (Mike) of Summerton.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 5, 2021, at St. Paul Cemetery with the Rev. Billy Carlisle officiating.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy McKenzie, Jay Alford, Mike Graves, Todd Newell, Tracy Newell and Don Purvis.
The family will receive friends at the residence, 9562 Wash Davis Road, Summerton.
Masks and social distancing are required.
