Caroline (Gade) Turner passed away on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at the Tidewell Hospice House in Sarasota, Florida. She was born on March 17, 1932 in Albany to Adam and Paula (Flinspach) Gade. She graduated from SUNY Oneonta in 1953 and went on to complete her master's in education. Caroline taught at Elmer Avenue Elementary School in Schenectady for 35 years.She was a lifelong member of St. John's Lutheran Church, a Sunday School teacher, council member, and choir member. After retiring, she enjoyed traveling to Europe especially to Germany to visit her family. She and her husband enjoyed wintering in Sarasota, Florida for over 20 years.She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Leland Harvey Turner of Sarasota, Florida (formerly of Albany); brother-in-law, David (Vicki)Turner, sister-in-law, Olive Jane Snow, several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. A grave side service will be held Saturday June 11, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. Held at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery 303 Sand Creek Road Albany, NY 12205.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Caroline's memory to the Tidewell Foundation 3550 S.
