Caroline Schollian Popik passed away peacefully on January 18th, 2024 surrounded by family. Caroline was born in Old Hickory, Tennessee on September 1, 1939. She graduated from Dupont High School in 1957 and The University of Tennessee in 1961. Caroline taught school for 39 years to include Aberdeen Maryland, Fort Campbell Kentucky, Metro Nashville and Williamson County at Hillsboro School for 28 years. She was named Williamson County Educator of the Year in 1982. She served as the President of Williamson County Education Association and served on the Board of Directors for the Tennessee Education Association from 1984-1987. She is preceded in death by her husband Paul Popik, parents George and Dorothy Schollian and brother George Schollian, Jr. She is survived by daughter Shannon Popik Hampson, grandson Drew Hampson and granddaughter Caroline Hampson. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, January 25th at 4:00 pm at St. John's Episcopal Church in Knoxville, Tennessee with a reception to follow. A receiving of friends will be held Monday, January 29th from 2:00-4:00pm at Woodlawn Cemetery in Nashville Tennessee, with a graveside service to follow.
