JOSEPH W. JONES FUNERAL HOME
Mrs. Caroline Eskew, 79, of Albany, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at Life Spring Church, 320 Fussell Rd, Leesburg, GA 31763 with Pastor Mark Knight and Pamela Wade officiating. Following the service, she will be laid to rest in Crown Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, April 14, 2023, at Joseph W. Jones Funeral Home, 375 US Hwy 19 S. Leesburg, GA 31763. Mrs. Eskew was born March 6, 1944, in Salamanca, NY, the only child to the late Sam Andalora and Helen Johnson. She was a proud military and law enforcement wife who graciously supported her late husband, Jack, as he served in the Marines and as a Lieutenant Sheriff's Deputy both of which he retired from. She loved her job as a server working for Golden Corral and retiring from Chic-Fil-A. Mrs. Eskew was a member of Life Spring Church and in her free time enjoyed bowling, laying in the tanning bed, playing board games and cards, making cards, and was a huge Elvis fan. She was loving, outgoing, and known by many as the "little red firecracker." Above all, she adored her children and grandchildren and spending time with her family. A loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend, she will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Jackie Walter Eskew; 2 daughters, Helen Eskew and Dawn White; grandson, Jakob Morgan; her great-grandson, Jayden Penhollow; and step-father, Erwin Johnson. Those left to cherish her memory include her 6 children, Loretta Barber, Jacquelyn Eskew, Thomas Eskew, Theodore Penhollow (Brenda), April Morgan (Dock Bush), and John Eskew (Jessica) all of Albany; 14 grandchildren, Ashley, Travis, Victoria, Chris, Brian, Charlie (Amy), T.J., Jessica G., Jessica P. (Jamie), Justin, Blake (Megan), Serena, Kayci, and John; 21 great grandchildren; and her best friend who was like a sister, Ruby Jones.
