Carole K. Sobel passed away on October 4, 2022 at the age of 88. Born in Philadelphia in 1934, she also lived in New York City, St. Louis, Los Angeles, Palm Springs, and Rancho Mirage. The desert became her true home, and she loved the friendships she made here. She also cherished the times when friends from St. Louis would visit. She loved playing bridge, proud of her rankings over the years, and was an enthusiastic tennis player and fan. She and her husband, Ephrem, loved each other deeply and were completely devoted to each other. They traveled widely over the years together, and Carole enjoyed telling stories of the places they visited. Carole was a character, feisty with a sense of humor, never shy to share her opinion or a kind word. She is predeceased by her mother and father, Miriam and Maurice Kellman. Carole is survived by her loving husband, Ephrem, her stepdaughters Leslie (Bob), Carole, and Mindy, and her grandsons, Jason, Adam (Breanne), and Ryan. A burial was held on Friday, October 7 at Desert Memorial Park.
