Carol King Smith

Mrs. Carol Lee King Smith, age 75, of Toccoa, GA passed away Thursday, November 7, 2019 at her home.

Born February 6, 1944 in Gainesville, GA, she was the daughter of the late John Vance and Eliza Mae Johnson King. Carol grew up in Clarkesville, GA and attended North Habersham High School. She was a graduate of the University of North Georgia Nursing School. She attended Level Grove Baptist Church and was a Registered Nurse. Carol was employed with Encompass Health and was a formerly employed with Stephens County Hospital, NEGA Medical Center, and Pruitt Health Care. Family members include her children; Brian and Michele Smith of Moore, SC, Brad and Connie Smith of Buford, GA, Sandee and Ulysses Bell of Lake Charles, LA, and Shana and Viktor Saienko Smith of Silver Spring, MD; grandchildren, Sheldon and Angelica Smith, Brianna and Doug Moseley, Abby Smith, Harrison Smith, Cameron Smith, Trinity Hart and Brady Hart, Trey Bell, Emma Sanders, William Sanders, and Sergii Saienko; great-grandchild, James Moseley; sister and brother-in-law, Janice and Charles Ward; sister-in-law, Barbara King; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Travis Joel Smith; brother, Nelson King; half sisters, Dorothy King and Doris Martin. Memorial services will be held at six o'clock Monday evening, November 11, 2019 from the Chapel of Whitlock Mortuary with Mr. Brent Ware officiating.
