On Saturday, March 7, 2020, Carol peacefully passed away at age 68 at Addison Pointe Health and Rehabilitation Center in Chesterton, Indiana.
Carol was born January 28,1952 in Muncie, Indiana, to Robert and Edwina (Bath) Raisor.
Carol grew up in Michigan City, Indiana. For the last twenty years, Carol resided at Michigan City Life Care Center and most recently at Addison Pointe in Chesterton, Indiana.
Carol was an honor student and graduated in 1971 from Elston High School. Prior to her illness, Carol was active and outgoing and enjoyed cheerleading from 6th through 9th grades.
Carol had a passion for reading. She was also a huge fan and owner of dozens of old-time, golden era movies, her favorite To Kill a Mockingbird. While at Life Care Center, Carol delivered mail to all residents via wheelchair. This gave her great pride and joy as her grandfather was letter carrier in the 1930's and '40's. Carol was known for her unwavering positive attitude and her infectious smile.
Carol was preceded in death by her father, Robert; mother, Edwina; maternal grandparents, Edwin and Madeline Bath; paternal grandparents, Bernard and Eula Raisor; uncle, James Bath and great aunt, Lela Knox.
She is survived by sisters, Beth (Don) Janes of Chesterton, IN, Susan (Patrick) Benton of Portage, MI; four nephews, Matthew (McKenzie) Janes of Ketchikan, Alaska, Alex and Peter Benton both of Kalamazoo, MI and Steven (Tiffany) Janes of Madison, WI; great nephew, Carter Janes of Madison, WI; aunt and uncle, Jane Ann and Richard Williams both of Richmond, IN; and cousins, Sally Porter and Linda Przybysz both of Richmond, IN.
Cremation will take place. Lakeview Funeral Home & Crematory, 247 W. Johnson Rd., La Porte, (219) 362-3100 is caring for the arrangements.
The family would like to thank the professionals and staff at Addison Pointe, Life Care Center, and Dunes Hospice for their expert, compassionate and unwavering care.
