Carol Ann Nielsen 77, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on February 27th. She was surrounded by loved ones.
Carol was born in Council Bluffs, IA in 1943. She was preceded in death by her one and only love Jerry.
Carol and Jerry's family business J-Lee Floors ran successfully for 48 years in the Everett area. Many lives were touched and changed by the kindness and generosity of Carol and Jerry.
But Carol's proudest accomplishments were her daughters Wendy (Dave) Gardner and Tara (Chris) Featherstone and her grandchildren Jarred (Stacia) Bohn, Travis (Joely )Hibbard , Cara (Andrew) Dankbar, Tricia (Ryan) Hartlage, Tyler (Lexie) Gardner and Cody Featherstone and 4 great grandchildren and many more who loved her as much as we did. The Glenwood Girls (Kathy, Karla and Lisa), Mike and Patti Kane and Tricia Hollo who all referred to her as a second Mom. Carol also leaves her little best friend Bella behind. Bella was Carol's constant companion and her co pilot. Bella & all of her balls are now a welcomed addition to Tara's family, but we will all spoil her for the rest of her life. She also leaves her very good friend Gladys Hanson, they were often referred to as Thelma and Louise.
Carol and Jerry only had two biological daughters but between J- Lee Floors and their concession stands at the Evergreen State Fair, they had a hand in raising numerous others.
Carol was a busy lady, between her volunteer work with Kiwanis and her happy hours with her friends, she never stopped going. Carol was a kind and giving person. She loved to cook for anyone and everyone. She could never make just one chicken pot pie or apple pie, for Carol it was a production. She would make them in bulk and then deliver them to her family and friends with a smile. The hole that is left from her passing will never be filled, but the thought that her and Jerry are together again for eternity makes us smile. We want to thank everyone who loved our Mom. She was an amazing Mom and an amazing friend to all and she will be missed.
There are some who bring
A light
So great to the world
That even after they have gone
The light
remains.
