Carol Englehart Guilfoil passed peacefully early Monday morning. She led a good life as daughter to Claude and Phoebe Englehart, brother to Calvin C. Englehart, sisters, Phyllis Englehart Haire, Grace E. Englehart and grandmother to Kaitlyn (Katie) Dunn all who passed before her. She leaves behind her loving husband, Arthur E. Guilfoil, sister Rosalee (Suzy) Englehart Benjamin (George), son James E. Guilfoil, daughter Jodi C. Guilfoil Dunn (Mike), grandsons Kyle Guilfoil (Katherine), Austin Guilfoil, Dylan A. Dunn (Shea), two great grandsons, Bryson and Ryker Guilfoil along with many nieces and a nephew. She was born in Dearborn, Michigan, met her husband Art at 16, married at 18 in Saline, Michigan. After marriage she and Art relocated with his job to Columbus, Ohio followed by Albuquerque, New Mexico and Sanford, Florida where James was born in 1962, then back to Columbus, Ohio. Friends talked Art into applying at Lockheed Aircraft in 1964 and that's how they ended up in Georgia where they have been since. After Jodi was born in 1965, Carol went back to college along with Art. She was interrupted for about 10 years while she worked as a bookkeeper and office manager. She finally graduated from Kennesaw State University when it was still a college in 1988. She was active in Covenant Presbyterian Church since its beginning in 1964 as Treasurer and Hostess for many years, sang in the choir and played handbells. She loved music, crossword puzzles and spending time with her family. In Lieu of flowers, Donations can be made to, Christ Covenant Presbyterian Church of Woodstock, PCA.
