Carol A. Houghton, 83, of New Boston, New Hampshire, passed away on November 5th, 2022 after a lengthy, but courageous battle with cancer.
Carol was born in Manchester, NH on October 20, 1939 to Roland and Pauline Gelinas.
She is preceded in death by her parents; dear husband of 54 years, Ray Houghton; siblings Roland and Richard Gelinas, and Beverly Bangs, all of NH. Carol is survived by brothers Robert, William, and Paul Gelinas of NH; and a sister, JoAnn Corey, of Florida.
Carol had a zeal for life built around her love for her family and friends. She was a gifted artist, seamstress, painter, cook, gardener, and bird-watcher. She loved the ocean, had a ready-laugh, and enjoyed traveling the country.
She leaves behind six daughters, Karen Coleman (Dave) of Wyoming; Kathi Schultz (Carl) of Michigan; Kelly Houghton (Leigh), Kristi Citak (Paul), Kimberly Jackson (Eric) all of NH; and Kasey Houghton (Joe), of MA., as well as eleven adored grandchildren, and seven sweet great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held at the Community Church of New Boston, at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 18th, 2022; followed by a graveside burial at New Boston cemetery. Subsequently, a luncheon will be held in the New Boston Church Dignard Room.
