Retired nurse Carol Ann Dixon's love of life did not end with her death. Carol passed away on December 17, 2020 at the age of 78 after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's Disease in the loving arms of her husband Michael.
Born and raised in Montreal Canada, Carol studied nursing at Catherine Booth Hospital and continued on to complete her degree as a Registered Nurse in Los Angeles, CA. She will be missed by many of those close friends in the medical field.
As a traveling nurse, Carol arrived in New London Hospital in New Hampshire in 2001 with a goal of assisting a friend with cancer who lived nearby. Here is where she fell in love with Michael, NH, many extended family and friends. Carol's passion was for patient care and in-service instruction to fellow nurses, doctors, firefighters, police and EMTs. She also had a second career as an entrepreneur. She incorporated her love of teddy bears into a custom name tag company called "Bears R Us"; which is still used in the medical profession.
Her thoughtful words, healing touch, kind acts, quick smiles will be remembered by all whose lives she touched. She leaves behind the love of her life, Michael. In her own words, "my knight in shining armor" and "the best husband I could have imagined for myself."
Survived by her husband Michael, brother Robert Connell, nephew Mark Seacord, and the Bremner family, In-law family Lydia Dixon, Mark Dixon (Sara), Monica Blum (John), Anne Beedle (Bob).
