Carmen Ricarda Decker, 76, of Charlotte, passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2022, after her battle with Leukemia.
Carmen was born May 6, 1946 in Iowa to the late Salvador Tovar and the late Patricia Neri Tovar. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Bruce Decker.
Carmen was very artistic and creative. She liked to crochet and paint. Carmen operated a day care for many years. She was also a God fearing woman, very strong in her faith.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 - 10:45 am, on Monday, June 6, 2022 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Harrisburg, the funeral service will follow at 11:00 am in the Jeff Hartell Memorial Chapel, officiated by Pastor Darnell Summers. Burial will follow at the Carolina Memorial Park Harrisburg at 12015 University City Blvd., Charlotte.
Survivors include daughter, Stacy Matthews of Simi Valley, CA, daughter, Stephanie Montgomery (Erick) of Charlotte, NC, grandson, Antonio Matthews, grandson, Elijah Matthews, granddaughter, Sanyiah Montgomery, grandson, Christian Montgomery.
