Carmella Marie “Cookie” Cavaliere (nee Faugno) passed away in Stamford Hospital on Friday evening, June 3, 2022, at the age of 92. She was born to Generoso and Theresa (nee Luciana) on April 14th, 1930 in Stamford, CT. She was raised along with her siblings Margaret DePoli (John), Gene “Sonny” Faugno (Bernice), Robert Faugno and Barbara Ann Faugno.
She attended Stamford schools. After which she married her late husband of 61 years, Frank D. Cavaliere, Sr. Camella worked for Conde Nast Publications in Old Greenwich, CT until she became a mother. She lived in Okinawa for several years with her husband and young sons, Frank Jr and Mark, where she gained a love for Asian culture. Carmella was a parishioner of Our Lady Star of the Sea Church in Stamford. She also spent many years at a home her late husband, had built in Manchester, VT. Which they were able to share with all of their family members, enjoying snowmobiling, skiing, laughing and living life to the fullest. Carmella also enjoyed her life on the beach on Shippan Point. She loved to entertain her family and friends in the summer months. Especially her annual July 4th celebrations. Her passion was writing greeting cards to her family and friends. She was known for never missing a birthday greeting. A card from Carmella was the first anyone would receive.
Carmella is survived by her two children, Frank D. Cavaliere, Jr of Norwalk, CT. And Mark A. Cavaliere of Watertown, CT. Grandchildren, Justin Cavalier (Jenna) of Eaton, CT, Olivia Cavaliere of Norwalk, CT, Carina Cavaliere (Josh Appleton) of Waterford, CT, Alexandra Cavaliere of Stamford, CT and Nicolette Cavaliere of Stamford. Great-Grandchildren, Liam, Wesley & Jaxon Cavaliere of Easton, CT. And Addison & Owen Appleton of Waterford, CT. As well as her sister Margaret, many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, great grandnieces, and great grandnephews.

The Cavaliere Family welcomes all relatives and friends for a Mass of Christian burial celebration on Saturday, June 11th at 11 am at Our Lady of Star of the Sea, 1200 Shippan Avenue, Stamford, CT. Her interment will be private.
