Carlton Dean Cunningham, 81, of South Bend, passed away at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka, Indiana on Saturday, May 23, 2020.
Carlton was born on September 4, 1938, to the late Charles K. and E. Louise (Hammitt) Cunningham in Galion, Ohio. After graduating from Galion High School, Carlton went on to earn his engineering degree from Ohio Northern University. Carlton loved what he did and only recently retired as a Management Consultant. Carlton also had a passion for music and played in the Culver Military School Band, as well as high school and in a Swing-Big Band during college.
On March 29, 1964, he wed Judy-Louise Griscott at a ceremony in Galion. Together they had three children.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Carlton is survived by his wife of 56 years, Judy-Louise Cunningham; children, Bethann (Jeff) Woollard of Hilliard, Ohio Carlton Dean (Connie) Cunningham Jr. of Cassopolis, Michigan, and Charles (Jessica) Cunningham of Western Springs, Illinois; 6 grandchildren; and close friends.
A private interment was held at Oak Grove Cemetery in Delaware, Ohio, on Saturday, May 30, 2020.
