Carlos "Charlie" Guerrero, age 44, of Santa Rosa, Texas, passed away March 6, 2021 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
He was born January 22, 1977 to Guadalupe and Irma Guerrero in Weslaco, Texas. Charlie went to high school at Santa Rosa High School and graduated in 1995. He earned a BBA from University of Texas Pan American as well as an MBA from Texas A&M International in Laredo, Texas in 2017. Charlie worked as a mortgage professional for over fifteen years and most recently for HomeAmerican Mortgage Corporation in Denver.
Charlie enjoyed spending all his spare time with his son, Joshua Guerrero. Charlie loved Texas sports especially the Dallas Cowboys, San Antonio Spurs, Texas Longhorns, as well as being a passionate boxing and fight fan. He had a big heart for all his friends and family. He always had a smile on his face and a great attitude. Charlie also dearly loved his childhood and Santa Rosa High School friends. He always was in communication and went out of his way to see them every time he was in the Rio Grande Valley.
An eternal optimist, he approached life with a glass half full mentality. His heart was on fire for the Lord. Charlie would openly praise the Lord daily no matter what was going on in his day. He was a true prayer warrior.
Charlie is survived by his son, Joshua Noah Guerrero; father and mother, Guadalupe and Irma Guerrero; his sister, Norma Guerrero Cowes; brothers, Orlando Guerrero and Javier Guerrero. He is also survived by many uncles, aunts, and cousins in Texas, California, and Illinois.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to everyone that has reached out his immediate family to provide their condolences and share kind words and memories of Charlie. He will be missed. We are convinced that Charlie is with his Lord and Savior and that he is an angel in Heaven cheering us on.
