Carlos Edward Bandy, 95, of Robinson, IL, passed from this life on Thursday, October 7, 2021, at the Elwood Health and Living Center, Elwood, IN.
Carlos was born in Xenia, Illinois to Wesley and Inez (Burroughs) Bandy. Following graduation from High School, Carlos accepted his Country's call to join the U. S. Army and, as a Sergeant in the 394th Infantry, fought for freedom against hostile forces intending to destroy America and our way of life.
In 1946, following his discharge, Carlos married Nina L. (Ramseyer) and found employment with the Ohio Oil Co., (Marathon), retiring after 37 years at Robinson refinery.
Among Carlos' memberships were the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), E. M. Coulter Post # 69 American Legion, B.P.O. Elks # 1188, and L.O.O. Moose # 1369, all of Robinson, IL.
In August of 1950, Carlos and Nina's family celebrated the birth of their first daughter, Pamela Sue who tragically passed away at age 3, and Mary Ann (1952), who became the focus of their attention throughout her life. Mary Ann died in her home in September, 2014.
In 1994, following the death of Nina, Carlos married D. Doraine (Bailey) Larrison and she survives. Also surviving are step-sons, Roger Larrison (Mary Jane), Elwood, IN; Richard Larrison (Allyson), Noblesville, IN and John Larrison (Tommi), Tryon, NC, along with two step-grandchildren, Benjamin Larrison, Port Richey, FL and Renee' Larrison, Austin, TX, as well as two nephews, Carl Bandy (Brenda), Flora, IL and John Bandy (Janet), Springfield, IL.
Preceding Carlos in death were his parents, wife, Nina, his daughters, Pamela Sue and Mary Ann, and his brother, Guy Bandy.
Private family graveside services for Carlos E. Bandy will be conducted Monday October 11, 2021 in the Robinson New Cemetery with Rev. Roger Larrison as Celebrant. Memorial contributions for Carlos Bandy may be made to the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Robinson with envelopes available at the Pulliam Funeral Home in Robinson, IL.
