Carla J. (Rose) DeVol, 58, of Solsberry, passed away Saturday, January 18, 2014. She was born in Sullivan, Missouri on August 26, 1955 to Carl Rose and Carol (Hoerath) Rose. Carla was a manager at K-Mart West in Bloomington. She had been with the company over 20 years. Mrs. DeVol was of the Christian Faith. She enjoyed singing, working puzzles and cooking for her family.
Carla is survived by her husband of 30 years, George DeVol; children, John (Alana) Maxwell of Spencer, Carl (Erica) Gray of Jamestown, Patrica (Jason) Lazell of Unionville, and Robert Trobaugh of Solsberry, Chris DeVol and Byron DeVol of New Hampshire; parents, Carl and Dianna Rose of Canaan, Mo and Carol Gray of Lebanon; siblings, Carolyn Sue Roach of Bourbon, Mo, Cheryl Sims of Spencer, Cara Doss of Lebanon, Curtis Rose of Canaan, Mo, and Denny Rose of Bland, Mo, Deena Hart of Nashville, Tn and Jimmy Poland of Canaan, Mo; ten grandchildren and three great- grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her son, Adam Gray; brother, Daniel Rose and brother-in-law, Harry "Buddy" DeVol.
A Celebration of Life is being planned for a later date and will be held at the Hendricksville Community Center.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Epilepsy Foundation.
