Carl Raymond Molter, 85, of Belleville, WI died on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at Arbor Terrace Assisted Living in Alpharetta, GA where he had been a resident for the past four years. Carl was born in Sheboygan, WI on November 17, 1935 to Herbert Molter and Phoebe (Meengs) Molter. He graduated from Cedar Grove High School in 1954 and attended Marquette University and Central Iowa University receiving a degree in Chemistry. He began teaching at Belleville High School in 1958. He soon met and married Helen (Fitzgerald) Molter. She preceded him in death on May 30, 2006. Carl was a beloved chemistry teacher and athletic director at Belleville High School for 41 years until his retirement in 1999. Carl and Helen raised their two sons, Jeff and Michael, in Belleville and were important fixtures in the community for many years. Carl had a love of gardening and could be seen working every day in the summer, growing peppers, tomatoes and cucumbers that he would sell to local restaurants. He would also place vegetables in a box by his mailbox for neighbors to pick up and enjoy. He was a die-hard fan of the Wisconsin Badgers and the Green Bay Packers. Even when living in Georgia, Carl would be dressed every day in his Badgers red or Packers green. He was also an avid outdoorsman. He loved to fish and hunt. He was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Helen Molter; his two brothers, Stanley Molter and Ivan Molter, both of Cedar Grove, WI. He is survived by his sister, Joyce Martin of Escondido, CA; his sons, Jeff (Erin) Molter and Michael (Kerri) Molter; and 5 grandchildren, Meagan, Kyle, Tommy, Audrey and Presley Molter.
