Burnalee Scheuerman, age 87, of Topeka, Kansas passed away on wednesday, July 14. 2021 surrounded by friends and family. she was born in Marquette, Kansas July 8,1934 , the daughter of Burney and Effie(Hudson) Loomis.
She attended schools in Marquette and continued her education with college courses at Kansas State University.
In addition to being a home makers, she was employed as a housekeeper at the Menninger Foundation, a Drug and Alcohol technician at St Francis Hospital, salesperson at PRN clothing and a receptionist at Hair Secrets in Fairlawn Plaza.
She was a member of Narcotics Anonymous(NA) and celebrated 44 years of sobriety in February 2021. She was a pioneer in NA and her story, "Part of the Solution" was in the Basic Text 1st edition through the 5th.
She was preceded in death by her parents Burney and Effie Loomis, sisters Dorothy Nelson and Amy Levin and her husband , Calvin. Survivors are daughters Jewel Robinson(Gene) and Kim maddux and son Larry , all of Topeka, Kansas she also leaves several nieces and nephews.
Burnalee was previous married to Lyle Maddux and Howard Ritchie.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 24, 2021, 11:00 A.M. at Mount Hope Cemetery and Funeral Chapel 4700 SW 17 th , Topeka, Kansas. Memorials can be made to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church 3625 SW Wanamaker Rd , Topeka, Kansas 66614.
