Funeral Service at First Baptist Church, Walters, Saturday, March 12, 2022 at 2:00 p.m., Dr. Jack Jacob officiating. Interment in the Walters Cemetery under the direction of Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home in Walters.
Bruce Wayne Finney was born to Francis Marie (Smith) Finney and M C "Pete" Finney on February 20, 1962 in Muskogee, OK and departed this life in Lawton, OK on March 5, 2022 at the age of 60 years and 13 days.
Bruce grew at Webber Falls, OK, graduating from high school in 1980. He farmed with his dad in his earlier years and then worked for Fort Howard Paper Company. He later moved to Walters, OK, working for the City of Walters overseeing sewer and waist, and operating heavy equipment. He eventually became Street Department Superintendent, which was the position he held at his passing.
Bruce was a professing Christian and was baptized at an early age. He enjoyed fishing, riding 4-wheelers, cooking, hanging with friends and family, and enjoyed working. He loved his dogs.
He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant brother, Victor Finney; and a sister, Linda (Finney) Drew.
He is survived by his promised soulmate, Regina Wahnee of the home and her kids, Robert Marez of Weatherford, OK, Brendan Marez and Sebastian Wahnee both of Walters; a brother, William Pitts (Gloria) of Willingboro, NJ; 5 sisters, Gladys Young (Willie-dec.) of Guthrie, OK, Patricia Carpenter (Kent) Pennsauken, NJ, Deborah Felder (Robert)of Cary, NC, Frances Anita Finney of Oklahoma City and Brenda Fenner (Mike) of Edmond, OK; a host of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins and many friends.
