Bruce D. Correia

Bruce D. Correia, 61, of Somerset passed away on Friday, September 2, 2022 in St Anne’s Hospital. He was the devoted husband to Elizabeth (Monte) Correia.

Born in Fall River, he was the son of the late Leo Correia and Alice (Viveiros) Correia. Bruce graduated from Somerset High School in 1978 and went on to work for the Town of Somerset Highway Department. He was a devoted New England Patriots fan and was a season ticket holder for many years. Bruce enjoyed Drag Racing and NASCAR races. He loved to go on adventures and road trips to no particular destination with Elizabeth and their friends. He had a gift of finding the best spots to share a few laughs. One of his favorite spots to go to was the highest point of the Kancanagus Highway in New Hampshire. Bruce loved to laugh, even more so when the laughs were shared among his family and friends.

Along with his wife, Bruce is survived by his two honorary step children; Robert Brown Jr and his wife Heather and Diane Gosson and her husband Jason. His three grandchildren; Damon, Oceanna and Hayden. Bruce also leaves behind his dear nephew, Joseph “Joey” Correia and his wife Rochelle along with their children; Gabriel and Isabella. Bruce also leaves Stacey Masse and her husband Jay and their children; Jay and Jaylyn. Bruce was the father to the late Andrew “Andy” D. Correia and the late Ryan Phelps. Brother to the late Andrew Correia.
