Brock was a beautiful and extraordinary person and an extremely talented artist. He was an accomplished musician, actor, and writer. He completed his BA in Visual & Performing Arts in 2023 and was well on his way to earning his master's degree in VPA with a concentration in Film Studies at the University of Texas at Dallas, where he was exploring his passion for philosophical, analytical, and critical thinking. According to his Dean and colleagues, Brock is known for his wit and intelligence. He had a passion for under-rated movies and complex theoretical problems. He has given over six conference presentations and had an essay on the undefinedSawundefined franchise under review with the Horror Scholar Journal. Brock's own words say it best: undefinedEverything I did, I succeeded at: Piano, theater, video games, trivia (did you see they ranked me #1 in North Texas for Geography in 2024?)undefinedand I was finding my groove as an academic. Iundefinedm confident I would have secured admission to most of the programs I applied to given my publications, awards, presentations, teaching experiences, and the writing sample I spent literally 6 months perfecting. I revisited that writing sample a few days ago and still think itundefineds really great. Oh, and I finally completed my screenplayundefined167 pages of which I am profoundly proud. I genuinely believe itundefineds the best thing Iundefinedve ever created. My last two weeks in Odessa were unequivocally the happiest Iundefinedd been in years. Not a single bad feeling or sadness. Honestly, itundefineds hard to imagine another 22-year-old in a more auspicious position. There are also literally dozens of people who love me. Iundefinedm very grateful.undefined
