Brian D. Vaughn, 49, of Bristol, husband to Erin (Letizia) Vaughn, passed away unexpectedly on May 20, 2022 at Bristol Hospital. Born on August 4, 1972 in Danbury, CT, he was the son of David Vaughn and the late MaryLou (Cummings) Vaughn. Brian was a hero to his children. He loved going to Nick's baseball games and watching the Yankees with Cailin. He was a UCONN basketball fan and loved to watch all college basketball games with his family. We made many wonderful memories vacationing at Cape Cod, swimming at Sheila's house, game nights, trips to Hammonasset Beach, BBQ's with Amy, Matt, Gigi and Papa, family dinners at Grandpa's house, building legos, playing baseball in the backyard with Nick and Cailin and going for long car rides as a family. Brian loved music and has attended many concerts over the years and saved all his ticket stubs. He was a huge fan of the Misfits, so much so that he named our dog Doyle after the guitarist. Besides his wife, Erin, and his father David, Brian leaves his two children Cailin and Nick Vaughn of Bristol, CT; three brothers and a sister-in-law Rick and Jane Vaughn of Branford, CT, Mike Vaughn of Danbury, CT, and Mark Vaughn of Astoria, NY; his sister and brother-in-law Sheila and Greg Nejame of New Fairfield, CT; two nieces Nicole and Ali, and five nephews Matthew, Jason, Zach, Kevin, and Ryan. A funeral service will be held Thursday, May 26, 2022, at 11am at DuPont Funeral Home, 25 Bellevue Ave., Bristol. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be Wednesday evening from 5-7pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations for Cailin and Nick's college fund are being accepted at the First Bristol Federal Credit Union, P.O. Box 698, Bristol, CT 06011.Please make checks payable to Erin Vaughn, in the memo field, please state that the check is for Cailin and Nick.
