Belchertown, MA - Brian F. Lefebvre, 68, passed away peacefully at his home August 23, 2022 surrounded by the love and care of his family. Born in Springfield, December 10, 1953 son of Norman and Alfreda (Mendrela) Lefebvre. He leaves his wife of 42 years Gerardine (Gerri) Lefebvre, his sisters Melanie Emmons, Karen Lefebvre (deceased 2020), Jennifer Clarke, and Melissa Lefebvre and brother Eric Lefebvre.
I grew up in Belchertown, Massachusetts, went to High School in Belchertown and after graduation enlisted in the United States Marine Corp in June of 1972. I was stationed at Camp Lejeune N. C., as a typewriter repairman. Then stationed afterwards at Kaneohe Marine Corp Air Station in Hawaii, where I was the Training NCO for our Company. I was discharged in July of 1976. Then after a short time of deciding what direction my life would go, I went to work for IBM, followed by Eastman Kodak, and Danka Office Imaging as a service technician. While working as a Service Technician for IBM I met the love of my life, Gerardine Mogelinski at the University of Massachusetts where she was employed. I actually was repairing her typewriter. She was out that day, but as luck would have it I had to return with a part for her machine. After that the rest is history. We were married on June 8, 1981 in Easthampton Massachusetts at the town hall. We recently celebrated our 41st anniversary. We didn't have much, but we had each other. Gerri, as she went by, is and always will be the best person to ever come into my life. We always made sure that our life together always came first. We bought a house on Stebbins Street in Belchertown, Massachusetts in 1987 where we lived very happily for the rest of our life. We never had children, but had plenty of animals. I loved old muscle cars, animals, nature and old movies and music from when I grew up.
People sometimes are asked is there anything you would change, and the answer is absolutely nothing. I enjoyed my life with my wife and animals and have no regrets. I was blessed with a wonderful wife and life.
Funeral services will be held privately. Wrisley Funeral Home in South Deerfield is assisting with arrangements. Burial will be at St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
