Brian Edward Laurent Sr., 52, died suddenly at his home in Naples, Florida on Dec. 22, 2021. Brian was born in York, Pennsylvania, moving to Rochester, New York and then to Wakefield, Massachusetts when he was 7. Even as a young boy, he developed a passionate interest in Egyptian mummies and sarcophagus, which became his favorite word. He credits these interests in choosing his future career.
From a young age, Brian discovered a love for cooking. The kitchen was his happy place and he shared this with his kids over the years perfecting his chicken marsala and many other favorites. He rescued, raised, and was passionate about his 14 exotic parrots, called his "baby chickens." For seven years he shared his passion entertaining others at various nursing homes, schools, and parties. He had a love of motorcycling, but most of all he loved spending time with his children and family.
Brian was a professionally trained and licensed funeral director at Fuller Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Naples, Florida. He was a graduate of The New England Institute in Boston, Massachusetts. Upon graduation, he began his career in Bedford, Massachusetts before relocating to southwestern Florida. Brian was a member of Kiwanis, Rotary International and The Young Professionals of Naples. He also participated in several local volunteer groups for families in need.
He was a father, son, brother, and friend to so many. We will never forget the endless laughs, memories, and smiles we shared. Although he was taken from us too early in his life, he will forever be at peace. There are no words for how much we miss him. He will forever remain in our hearts.
Brian is survived by his son, Brian, Jr. and daughter, Arianna both of Naples; his mother, Barbara G. Beaulieu, husband David (Rochester, NY); his father, Louis A. Laurent, wife Barbara (Naples, FL); sister Jennifer S. Laurent, husband Barry Heath (Burlington, VT); stepbrother Alexander G. Bosco, wife, Allison (Lake Forest, Illinois); several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
