Brent John Lamos, 55, was called home on June 25, 2021.
Brent is a native and lifelong resident of East Andover and the son of Richard H. and Maurine C. (Thisell) Lamos.
He attended Andover Elementary School (where he may have been the 8th grade teacher's pet) and Merrimack Valley High School, graduating in 1984. Growing up in East Andover, Brent spent a lot of time with his buddy/mentor Fred Miller at his garage where he learned a lot about mechanics, just up the street from his childhood home and his family nickname was "Mudworm". It was very difficult when his Dad died 14 years ago as they were especially close.
Over the years he worked for Pike Industries, Hiltz, Virgin trucking, AB Construction, Concord Sand & Gravel, and Adams Auto, where he was fortunate to be able to work as a very good mechanic with his brother and best bud.
Brent was very much a people person. He would strike up a conversation with everyone and would give the shirt off his back and help someone in need. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed a good laugh often being the life of the party. If you came to his home he would insist you eat and always looked forward to ice cream or dessert. He liked candy, especially Nutty Buddy Bar, Skittles, Twizzlers and Swedish Fish.
Brent was a hard worker and expected you to work as hard as he did if he were helping you or you were helping him. He enjoyed Nascar, riding ATV's, snowmobiling, riding his motorcycle and, at one time, had a boat he took out on Highland Lake. He took pride in his yard keeping his lawn pristine and took special care of all his motor toys! He also, along with his family, took care of his parents' yard over the years as his parents got older.
Brent was very much a family man. He is survived by his wife Carolyn (Huff) of 30 years who was his soul-mate and best friend. He was very sentimental keeping memorabilia but his greatest accomplishment was his girls, Amy Remillard (spouse Zach) and Heather Smith (spouse Justin) and his granddaughters (Bailey & Hannah Smith) - who will all miss him very much. They have a lot of wonderful memories to treasure in their hearts.
Many will miss him including his brothers, Rick, Michael, Bruce and sisters, Linda, Darlene, Diane and Deborah. As well as many cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many friends and his four legged children.
A memorial service will be held at his parents' home, 766 Franklin Highway, East Andover on Friday, July 2, 2021 at 3:00 P.M.
Memorial contributions may be made to your local animal shelter.
