Ms. Brenda Jean Williams, 78 of South Bend, Indiana was called to rest September 4, 2022, one day after her 78th birthday. She was born to Mozell & Robert Hughes. Brenda was a lifelong resident of South Bend, Indiana. Brenda retired from Curtis Products. Brenda was a nice and loving person; she had several different hobbies including riding motorcycles in her younger years fishing and the most favorite of all was golfing. She would golf in the rain, sleet and snow if she could. Brenda was a member of the Women's Putt Putters Golf League, where she received several trophies and ribbons. She was also a faithful member of Faith Apostolic Ministries (FAM). She had a love for Cadillac cars. Brenda is survived by her Daughter Tina Walker-Cotton of Morrow, GA, Stepson James Walker II of South Bend, IN, Stepdaughter Janay Walker of Dayton, Ohio. Three Grandchildren: Shaunecca Cotton, Dajuan Cotton, Tara Taylor of South Bend, IN. Six Great Grandchildren: Dai'juanna Cotton, Twins Dai'jon Cotton, Dajuan Cotton Jr., Tra'jon Williams and Taris Wiliams all of South Bend, IN and Joshua Cotton of Hopskinville, KY and One Great Great Granddaughter Da'lehja Cotton. Special Granddaughter Geralyn Bracey. Sisters: Betty Tidwell of Indianapolis, IN and Bonnie Hughes of Pensacola, FL. Her fishing buddy Ms. Fay Gadson, golfing buddy/sister-in-law Shirley Lake; and a very special friend of 50+ years Ms. Rose Carpenter, all of South Bend, IN. Her legacy also leaves a host of cousins, relatives and friends. Brenda was preceded in death by her parents: Robert and Mozell Hughes, Daughter Tracy Walker, Brothers: Robert "bobby" Hughes, Billy "Bang" Hughes, Baxter Hughes, Basil Hughes, and Sister: Barbara Hughes. Celebration of Life will take place on Friday September 16, 2022 at 11:00 AM, with a Viewing One-hour prior at Faith Apostolic Ministries (FAM). A Motorcycle Hearse Carriage will lead her to her earthly resting place: Riverview Cemetery. The family is encouraging fellow motorcycle riders to join in her "Last Ride" farewell Procession.
