Bonnie Bunky Young
Did you know Bonnie? Please share your stories and photos, and help spread the word about this page!
Dearest Bunky, the most amazing mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend and confidant. She was truly one-of-a-kind and connected with so many people throughout her life. Bunky departed this world as quickly as she had entered it, and has left a lasting imprint on all who knew her. There will never be another quick-witted, stunningly gorgeous, loving Bunky who would light up a room with her seemingly never-ending confidence and charisma.
Bunky learned how to be strong and confident from a very young age. Her father was a very influential person in her life, teaching her to shoot a gun, kick ass, and to have compassion in the most challenging situations. Bunky loved her parents dearly and always had incredibly entertaining stories about her childhood. As a result, she passed those valuable lessons on to all of those who needed it the most. Her family is grateful to have the wisdom that she so generously gave.
Bunky iconized Old Hollywood. Having found her way into show business, she made a name for herself and touched the lives of many on and off screen. First making her debut at Disney Studios and becoming the first Miss Disneyland then moving forward to television and movies along with her best, and longest friend Linda. Bunky had an ability to make everyone laugh with her sick, twisted humor and practical jokes. There was never a time spent with her that we were not laughing to tears and talking about the amazing adventures she had all over the world.
Bunky has four wonderful children, eight grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren whom she loved with all her heart. She took great pride in her family and the loving relationships that she had with each and every one of them. Bunky passed on her fighting spirit and taught us all the importance of strength and standing up for what is right.
Bunky had a passion for music and was the leader of The Backyard Band, playing music for the entire town. Bunky was a self-taught musician and was able to play any instrument that she picked up. She was so incredibly talented, making every performance a showstopper.
Bunky embodied the strength that many others only hope to gain in a lifetime. We miss you with all our hearts. Never, will there ever be another Bunky. You are now safe in the arms of your Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We will think of you forever and always, until we meet again.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you plant a tree in her honor so that her love for nature and life can live on for generations to come.
