Bonnie Lou Utter, 74, of Oakboro, NC passed away Thursday, November 11, 2021. Bonnie was previously a long-time resident of Whitney Point, New York.
Bonnie was born January 15, in Broome County, New York to the late Alfred Aten and the late Ethel Louise Aten. She was also preceded in death by her partner, Thomas Schultz and her brother Kirk Aten.
Bonnie was a hairdresser in Glen Aubrey, New York for many years and went on to work for IBM in Endicott, NY. She is remembered as kind and always willing to help others.
Bonnie's family will receive friends on Saturday, November 20th, 2021 from 2:15 PM - 3:00 PM at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland (13575 Broadway Ave., Midland, NC). A funeral service to celebrate Bonnie's life will follow on site at the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel at 3:00 PM. Survivors include daughter, Lynn Marie (Steven) MacDonald; son, Todd Utter; sisters, Linda Fuller, Terri (Tim) Smacher, and Wilma (Ed) Whittaker; granddaughters, Nicole (Daniel) Welch, Allison MacDonald, Tiffany Utter; great grandchildren Abigail and Allison Utter and Luke Welch; sister-in-law, Julia Atten; along with a number of nieces and nephews.
