Bonnie Mielke , 85 Oct 18, 1934 - Nov 13, 2019 Bonnie Larue Mielke, 85, of Westminster, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at Highlands Regional Medical Center in Sebring, Florida. Born on October 18, 1934 in Clear Spring, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late John Edgar Mowen and Ruth Hykes Mowen. She was predeceased by her late husband, Louis W. Mielke, Sr., on September 18, 2013.
Bonnie graduated from Hagerstown High School. She was an active member of Grace Bible Church in Manchester, and an associate member of Sebring Church of the Brethren. She enjoyed serving the Lord, gardening, playing bingo, and spending the winters at her home in Sebring, Florida.
She is survived by her son Louis W. Mielke, Jr. and wife Linda of Hampstead as well as daughter-in-law Gail Mielke; four grandchildren Gary W. Mielke, Jr, Louis W. Mielke III and wife Amanda, David Mielke, and Ashley Mielke Wensil and husband Brian; two brothers John Mowen and wife Judy of Waynesboro, PA., and Gerald Mowen of Hagerstown; and one sister Beverly Hann and husband Bill of Hagerstown. Bonnie was also blessed with seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband she was predeceased by three children, Terry Lynn Coroneous, Gary W. Mielke, Sr. and Judy Mielke Wilson; and one brother Pauley Mowen.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 East Main Street, Westminster. The family will also receive friends from 10:00 until the time of service at 11:00 on Wednesday.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 East Main Street, Westminster, with her Pastor Rev. Gregory J. Breen officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park.
