Bonnie Eager, 97, passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2020, at Mitchell Manor.
Born February 25, 1923, in Orange County, she was the daughter of Cecil and Elna (Herthel) Limeberry. She married Floyd "Bus" Eager November 7, 1942, and he preceded her in death December 3, 1987.
Bonnie had been employed at Reliance Manufacturing, Cortron, and retired from Essex International. She was a member of Spice Valley Baptist Church. Bonnie was a wonderful cook and enjoyed crocheting and fishing.
Survivors include her son, Gary Linn (Susan) Eager of Mitchell; daughter-in-law, Jacqueline Eager of Mitchell; special friend, Don Nolan of Mitchell; sister, Betty Meadows of Mitchell; grandchildren, Gary G. Eager, Marty Eager, Kathy (Carl) Shumpert, and Jonathan (Cindi) Eager; great grandchildren, Alyssa Mahan, Alex Mahan, Jackson Eager, Sophia Eager, Lisa Eager, Ashley (Cody) Heck, Dylan Lynch, and Collin Riddle; and great great grandchildren, Prince Shumpert, Pryce Shumpert, and Ryder William.
Her father; mother and step father, Elna and Chase Burris; husband; son, Michael Eugene Eager; granddaughter, Amy Mahan; and siblings, Vivian Godfrey, Alberta Chenault, Lela Howell, and infant twins, Norma and Norman, preceded her in death.
Graveside service was Wednesday, April 29, at Mitchell Cemetery. Pastor Roger Allen officiated. A celebration of life will be at a later date.
