Bonnie J. Heer-Pitzner, 76, of Dubuque, formerly of Charleston, SC, died Friday, January 31, 2025.
Per Bonnie's wishes, there will be no services. A private family Celebration of Life will be held. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery in LaCrosse, WI at a later date.
Bonnie was born September 4, 1948, in Dubuque, IA, the daughter of Joseph M. and Esther J. (Graham) Heer. On May 22, 2004, she married Larry Pitzner in LaCrosse, WI.
Bonnie graduated from Dubuque Senior High School in 1966. She then attended college in Cedar Falls, IA. She worked for the telephone company until becoming a business owner.
Bonnie loved passing the time playing card games, online games, and was a very skilled quilter. She and Larry enjoyed traveling all over the world, such as, Singapore, Italy, Hawaii, and spending winters in Alabama.
Survivors include her husband of almost 21 years, Larry Pitzner of Dubuque; two children, Rebecca Beyer of LaCrosse, and Jared (Stephanie) Pregler of Portland, OR; four grandchildren, Jaden, Izabelle, Gracie, and Emerson; one sister, Deb (Jim) Oleson of Dubuque; one sister-in-law, Linda (Gary) Pampuch of LaCrosse; her three cats, Gia, Cymba, and Minka; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Michael, in infancy.
The family would like to extend a special Thank You to Hospice of Dubuque.
