Bonnie Jean Cox 86, of Seymour, IN passed away at Schneck Medical Center on Thursday January 6, 2022. She was born in 1935 in Seymour, IN to the late Carl Kriete and Mildred Donnell Kriete.
In 1949 in Jackson County, IN she married the love of her life Donald E Cox, and he survives.
Bonnie was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. Bonnie worked at JayC Food Stores for many years as a cashier and in the front office. She enjoyed cooking, loved doing crossword puzzles, doing yard work, and cutting the grass. Most of all she loved her family and taking care of everyone.
Bonnie is survived by her husband, children; Danny (Betty) Cox, Debbie Fleetwood, and Lori (John) Dutcher, grandchildren; Jennifer (John) Thornton, Mary Lou (Troy) Bradley, Dustin Owens, DJ (Jessica) Cox, Cassandra (Brenna) Cox, Brook Aurs, Ashley (Darrin) Chapman, Gage Morris, Samantha Himeman, Sidney Carr, Kayla Dutcher and, Brittany Dutcher, 17 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, brother Steve (Teresa) Kriete, sisters; Clara Winslow, Linda Greene, and Connie Gerth.
She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Peggy Ann Cox, great granddaughter Meagan Earnest, brothers; Everett Kriete and, Carl Kriete Jr.
Visitation will be held at Voss and Sons Funeral Service on Tuesday January 11, 2022, from 4-8pm and on Wednesday January 12, 2022, from 1pm until time of the service. Service will be held on Wednesday January 12, 2022, at Voss and Sons Funeral Service at 2pm. Burial will follow at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.
