Bonnie L. (Sims) Childs passed away after a short illness on November 22, 2024.
Bonnie was born in Roslyn on June 11, 1946. She spent her childhood and early adulthood in Roslyn and graduated from Cle Elum High School in 1964. She married Glen Childs. They lived in Cle Elum and Renton before parting ways.
Bonnie was a hard worker all her life. She was one of Cle Elum's first telephone operators. She started working for the Forest Service in Cle Elum in the 1970's. She transferred to Wenatchee and then the Seattle area and rose through the ranks to become a Contracting Officer for the Mt Baker/Snoqualmie National Forests. She retired in 2012.
Bonnie is survived by her sister Linda Sims, with whom she lived, brothers George Sims and Gary Sims and wife Patricia, a niece, nephew and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her parents William and Elsie Sims, and brothers William A Sims and Robert Sims.
Services will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Roslyn fire department/aid car fund.
