Our beloved Dr. Bobby Louis Temple, 91, left his wordly family to the embrace of his Lord and Savior Wednesday, October 27, 2021. Bobby was preceded in death by his sister, Sylvia Ann Young and his parents. Born September 16, 1930 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma he moved to Dallas at a young age and attended Dallas schools graduating in 1947 from North Dallas High School. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa from The University of Texas at Austin in 1951 with a BA and then earned his M.D. in 1954 at The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston (Alpha Omega Alpha). Following a residency at Philadelphia General Hospital he served two years in the Army at Fort Knox in Kentucky. He returned to Dallas by 1960 for his residency at UT Southwestern and practiced Internal Medicine at the Douglas Avenue Medical Clinic and Presbyterian Hospital (Texas Health). A devoted Christian and active member of Park Cities Baptist Church he knew the Gospel well and occasionally taught Sunday School when needed. He was active for more than 50 years in the North Dallas High School Alumni Association helping to raise funds for college scholarships. A devoted fan of his Texas Longhorns he recently bragged he missed only one Texas-OU football game in 60 years. He leaves his beautiful wife of 66 years and best friend Annagene (Smith) Temple; son David John and his wife Nancy and grandchildren Bradley (wife Ashley), Allison and Kelsey; daughter Linda Diane and her husband Hal Hansen and grandchild Laura; son Robert Douglas; and sister Jamesene (Temple) Wallace.
Memorial Service will be held 2:00pm Friday, November 5, 2021 at Restland Wildwood Chapel Dallas, TX. In lieu of flowers send donations to The American Heart Association.
