Bobby Ray Carter

Bobby Ray Carter, 75, passed away Sunday, March 23, 2025, at his home. He was born in Jacksonville, FL, the son of the late Sarah Carter and Charleston Carter. Bobby retired from the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources after many years. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Sara Lyon (Frank) of Blacksburg, VA. Surviving is his wife of 53 years, Kay Carter; son, David Carter (Danielle Van de Poel) of Charleston, SC; grandson, Oliver Carter of Charleston; sister, Kathy Johnson (Terry); and brother, Joe Carter (Sandy) of Florence, SC. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 PM on Friday, March 28, 2025, at Cain Calcutt Funeral Home, with a Celebration of Life Service immediately following at 7:00 PM.
