Mr. Bobby Leon O'Dell, age 85 of Ellijay, GA passed on Thursday, January 20, 2022. Bobby was born May 10, 1936, in Murphy, NC to his late parents Howard and Stella (Mills) O'Dell. Bobby was a graduate of Murphy High School and graduated from Roffler Mohler Barber School. Bobby owned and operated Bobs Barber Shop in Marietta for many years. Bobby was also a member of Cartecay Baptist Church.
Survivors include sons Doug O'Dell, Talking Rock, GA, Derrick O'Dell, Ellijay, GA, grandchildren Amanda and Matt Davison; Michael O'Dell, Nicole and Adam Helms; Tara and Chris Ellison; Beau and Emily O'Dell, 8 grandchildren, sisters Geraldine Lockaby, Charleston, SC, Joann Segers, St. Simons, GA, Joyce Stewart, Kennesaw, GA, Wanda Benefield, Marietta, GA, Carolyn Swinford, Rome, GA, Judy Wilson, Canton, GA, and Reba Burger, Marietta, GA, brothers Harold O'Dell, Ellijay, GA, and Max O'Dell, Murphy, NC.
The family will receive friends Sunday, January 23, 2022, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the funeral home. Funeral service will be held Sunday, January 23, 2022, at 2:00 at Logan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tom Smiley officiating. Interment will be at the GA National Cemetery, Canton, GA.
