Bobbie Jean Terrell Clark was born on July 6, 1930 in Bullard, Texas to Hayden Edward Terrell and Lillian Estelle Moore Terrell. She died on January 20, 2019 at the age of 88.
Bobbie is survived by her sister, Charlene Klein of Missouri City, Texas and Billy Terrell of Edom, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Robert (Bob) Clark; sisters, Joann Eschberger and Ann Ivey; parents, Hayden Edward Terrell and Lillian Estelle Terrell; and her grandson, Jeffrey Wayne Clark.
Bobbie was the beloved mother of three children; daughter, Linda Barberee and husband, Jim, of Arp, Texas; son, George Robert Clark, Jr. and wife, Nancy, of Arthur, Illinois; and son, Rickey Wayne Clark and wife, Jo Ann, of Pineland, Texas.
Bobbie was married 27 years to the love of her life. Both enjoyed fishing, camping, and gardening during their years together. She continued these hobbies when she lost Bob. She spent a lot of time traveling with family and friends all over the United States. She worked many years at Temple Dry Goods and Bill's Dollar store where she made many friends.
Bobbie was also a fan of John Wayne and enjoyed watching his movies.
Bobbie is also survived by six grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. She loved her grandchildren and cherished her time with them.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 24, 2019 at Starr Funeral Home, 510 Starr St., Hemphill, Texas.
Funeral services will begin at 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 25, 2019 at Starr Funeral Home Chapel.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday at the Bullard Cemetery in Bullard, Texas.
The family requests that donations be made to a local animal shelter.
A special thanks is extended to the compassionate and wonderful staff of the Hemphill Care Center. The staff went above and beyond in the caring for Bobbie during her last days.
