Bobbie Jean Robinson, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and beloved friend, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2025, at the age of 90. Known for her wit, wisdom, and firecracker personality, Bobbie touched the lives of everyone she met through her remarkable life. Born on October 28, 1934, in Austell, Georgia, Bobbie Jean was the daughter of Ernest and Ruby Thrower. She married Wendell Robinson on December 26, 1953 in Mableton, Georgia, and together they raised a family full of love and laughter. Bobbie's commitment to family was unwavering, and she devoted herself to ensuring her children and grandchildren always felt supported, cared for, and loved. In addition to her role as a dedicated mother, Bobbie excelled at most everything she did. She was an incredible basketball player in her youth and passionate about the game. She volunteered her time at her local church and worked with her daughter in the children's ministry. Bobbie was an incredibly talented seamstress and has made clothes that continue to be passed down and worn by family. She enjoyed gathering with family to play contract rummy and with her dearest friends to play canasta. Her home always felt like a safe place to so many. Her humor and storytelling skills were unmatched. Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Ruby, husband, Wendell, and her siblings, James, Francis and Sarah. She is survived by her three children, Elaine Ridgway (Billy), Karen Goss (Tony), and Perry Robinson; her grandchildren, Kathy Blake (Scott), Kurt Ridgway, Laura Norton (Derek), and Leslie Quilico (Steve); her great-grandchildren, Lindsey (Bo), Montgomery, Garrison, Mallory, Andee, Maebelle, Samantha, West, and Jack; her great-great grandchildren, Scottie and Noa; and many nieces and nephews that she loved deeply. A celebration of Bobbie's life will be held on January 15th at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home in Austell, with a visitation from 9:00 to 11:00 am, directly followed by a service at 11:00 am. Bobbie Jean Robinson's legacy will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Tunnels to Towers in Bobbie's memory at https://t2t.org/.
