Bobbie Ann (Mayfield) Huckabee, "MeeMaw", of Lubbock, Texas, passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2022. She was born December 12, 1937
to O.W. and Willie Dee Mayfield in Wink, Texas and grew up in Andrews. Bobbie married the love of her life, Ron Huckabee, September 26, 1953. She began working as a bank teller, then went into the school business as a secretary/PEIMS Coordinator. She then moved to Midland and started in sales at Lucille's where she retired. Bobbie was the matriarch of her family. She was the "Best" wife, mother, and MeeMaw in the whole wide world according to her family. She was always loving and taking care of each and every one of them. She was a member of First Baptist Church until moving to Lubbock where she attended Southcrest Baptist. She was a fine Christian woman who loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
She is survived by her three children, Dub Huckabee of Midland, Sheri Carr and husband David of Wolfforth, and Gary Huckabee and wife Angie of Tuscola; her grandchildren, Ashley Huckabee, Amy Baum; Heather (Carr) Partin and Jed, Traci (Carr) Loper and Caleb; Kacie (Huckabee) Reimer and Jared, Jamie (Huckabee) Cook, Alex Huckabee and Hali; her great-grandchildren Destiny Lancaster, Darien Baum, Erin Boaz, Tyler Boaz, Aden Pitts, Korben Huckabee, Trey Stuteville, Nolan Loper, Collier Loper, Hudson Reimer, Isla Reimer, Shiloh Cook, Cohen Cook, Wyatt Cook, Aubree Acosta, Paxtyn Acosta, and Kaysen Kerby.
The family would like to recognize the Hospice of Lubbock "Angels" who have cared for our precious Mother with great love! Also, thank you to her doctors Cochran, Fenton, Shalaby, and Jenkins as well as many other doctors and nurses, etc. We also want to thank all the awesome people that are part of the Joe Arrington Cancer Center.
Graveside service with Reverend David Evans officiating will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 4, 2022, at Ellis-Resthaven Chapel at Resthaven Memorial Park, Midland, Texas.
