Bobbie Bowden Reynolds was welcomed to her heavenly home on Friday, April 9, 2021. She was born November 11, 1942 and was the light of Mae Bowden Matheney's life. Bobbi was loved by all who knew her and growing up in Monterey, TN, she was captain of the cheerleading team and homecoming queen in High School. She loved Tennessee Tech and UT and was a loyal fan. Throughout her life she was a model, airline stewardess and later with TVA, where she represented them at the World's Fair. Bobbi was always active in politics and worked in many elections, and never missed a vote. She loved playing cards and was a great Heart and Bridge player. Bobbi loved dancing and was a wonderful dancer winning many contests with her husband, Bill.
Bobbi is preceded in death by her sweet aunt and second mother, Mae Bowden Matheney; sisters, B.J. Meigs and Jo Stamps, and brothers, Jack Bowden and Jim Bowden. She is survived by her loving and faithful husband of over 50 years, Bill Reynolds, Jr.; her little dogs, Cookie, Rosie and Big Dog, and many family and friends.
Bobbi never had a bad word to say about anyone and only saw the good in everyone. She was well versed in the Bible, which she read thru many times. Bobbi will be completely and deeply missed by all those who were blessed to know her.
The family will hold services privately. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Bobbi's memory to Shriners Hospital for Children, 315 Mimosa Avenue, Knoxville, TN 37920, or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or Young-Williams Animal Center, 3201 Division Street, Knoxville, TN 37919.
