In Loving Memory of Bob Joe Ross
With deep love and gratitude, we honor the life of Bob Joe Ross, who passed away peacefully on February 23, 2025, at the age of 87. Born on May 28, 1937, in Bedias, Texas, to Jesse and Lucy Ross, Bob was the ninth of ten children raised in Southeast Texas. He grew up surrounded by the values of hard work, integrity, and devotion to family ?Texas principles that guided him throughout his life.
A proud decorated veteran who served for 20+ years as well as a tour of duty in Vietnam, Bob dedicated his career to the United States Air Force, where he rose to the rank of Chief Master Sergeant. After serving his country Bob embarked on a second career this time focusing on serving his community. For the next 20 years Bob served as a Marshall and the Head of Maintenance at the small Washington town of South Cle Elum. Though he never pursued formal education beyond his early years, his knowledge and expertise were boundless. He possessed an extraordinary ability to solve any problem presented.
Beyond his military career, Bob found his greatest joy in the great outdoors. Whether walking through the woods hunting or spending time in the open water fishing, he cherished the simple beauty of nature. It was in those moments that he felt most at home.
