James Robert "Bob" LaRose passed away peacefully, and surrounded by family and friends, on Friday, June 24th, 2022, in Matthews, North Carolina. Bob was born on November 15, 1945. He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Laura LaRose, and nephew Gary LaRose Jr. Bob is survived by his wife, Pat LaRose, and his brother Gary (Mynon) LaRose, niece Julie Hopson, and nephew Brian (Gwen) LaRose.
Bob was born and raised in West Point, MS. After high school, he proudly served in the United States Marine Corps for four years, and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. Bob met his beloved wife, Pat Jarman, while serving at Camp LeJune, NC, with whom he was happily married for 55 years. He went on to study at the University of South Florida, where he graduated with a degree in Business Management. Bob retired from Hewlett Packard after a career in computer support.
Upon retirement, Bob devoted much of his time to helping the least of his brethren through his church, Habitat for Humanity, and the Missionaries of the Poor. Bob was a man of great faith and had a servant's heart. He loved God, his wife, and his family deeply. He found a friend in every stranger that he encountered and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
Bob was an active member of St. Ann Catholic Church, and beloved by his church family. Bob was an avid reader, thinker, and learner of his faith. His lifelong pursuit for truth and reason was an inspiration for all those he encountered, and his steadfast faith impacted every person he met.
On Thursday, June 30th, visitation will be held at St. Ann Catholic Church in Charlotte, NC at 12:00pm, followed by the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 1:00pm, and a Solemn High Requiem Mass at 1:30pm. Burial will follow immediately at Forest Lawn East Cemetery in Matthews, NC.

The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to Dr. David Locascio and the entire medical staff at Novant Hospital in Matthews for their extraordinary and compassionate care to Bob during his final days.
