JAMES DYAL FUNERAL HOME
Blanche Jones Wheat, 86, of Hanahan, wife of the late Earl Duffy Wheat, passed away on Friday, December 4, 2020 at her residence.
Family and friends are invited to attend her visitation on Monday, December 7, 2020 from 10 o'clock to 11 o'clock at James A. Dyal Funeral Home. A funeral service will begin at 11 o'clock at James A. Dyal Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park, 7113 Rivers Ave., Charleston, SC, 29406.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pittman Street Baptist Church, 5105 Pittman St., N. Charleston, SC 29405.
Blanche was born on December 28, 1933 in Williamsburg County, SC, daughter of the late Elbert Eugene and Burtie Mitchum Jones. She graduated from Chicora High School. She was a member of Pittman Street Baptist.
Survivors include: three daughters: Linda Carter of Hanahan, Deloris "Peanut" Wheat of Hanahan, and Gail Reeves of Hanahan; five grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren. In addition to her late husband Earl and parents she was predeceased by daughter, Robin Wheat; seven siblings: Elbert D. Jones, Hazel W. Jones, Charlie B. Jones, Maggie Wheat, Alice Caddin, Winnie Cordray, and Lois Buskirk.
