Edith Blackmarr was born on June 12, 1943 and died November 16, 2020. She was born in West, grew up in Grand Prairie and lived in Highland Park for 30 plus years.
She had an extremely successful real estate career and won many honors including multiple TOP DALLAS RELATOR awards. She was a founder and partner in the 4th largest Dallas real estate firm before founding Blackmarr and Associates Realtors brokerage.
She was married to Brian Blackmarr for 58 years and together they traveled the world, visiting six continents, climbing the Egyptian Pyramids, walking the Great Wall of China and Tangoing in Buenos Aires. Edith was also an accomplished Captain, who for 20 years expertly navigated and ran her 60 foot power vessel, Ra, through Floridian and Bahamian waters.
Edith is survived by her husband Brian, her brother Franklin, his wife Kay and their family. She's also survived by her beloved little dog Peaches.
