Billy M. "Bill" Lutes, 81, of Akron, Ohio passed away, on August 5, 2022, after a brief illness. Bill was born on August 29, 1940, in Akron to the late James and Betty (Hutton) Lutes. Bill, a 1958 graduate of Ellet High School, earned a Bachelor of Ats from Kent State University in 1964 and a Master of Science in Education from Youngstown State University in 1979. In 1982 he received approval from the Ohio Department of Education to teach French, German, and Spanish in any school district in Ohio, grades 7-12. He did most of his teaching for Warren City Schools and was also involved in selecting and coaching students in High School "Jeopardy" contests. During retirement he was involved with planning Ellet High alumni reunions, and was the caretaker for his mother spanning many years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Judith A. Milich. He is survived by his brother-in-law, Pete Milich of Fredericksburg, VA; nephew Scott Milich of Springfield, VA; niece Michelle Behnke (Matt) of Glen Allen, VA; and two great nephews, Colton and Chase Behnke. Per Bill's wishes, a private memorial service will be followed by interment at Hillside Memorial Park where Bill will join many Lutes and Hutton family members.
