He was a Coal Miner and worked as a boss in MT Storm, WV at Laural Run Mining Company for 20 years. His nickname they gave him was "Big Time". Billie also worked as an Asbestos Remover for many years thereafter.
He and his family moved to East Tennessee after his retirement. He enjoyed mowing all the surrounding neighbor's yards and tinkling with the family garden, which he and his daughter thoroughly enjoyed doing together and he was a master at it as well. He enjoyed cooking for the family - all the family. He loved his family and all of his grandchildren and was so proud to be a great papaw. Our family gatherings were some of his best times and there were a lot of those. His home was always full of family and laughter from the children. He was a comedian at heart and loved to make us all including his friends laugh on a daily basis with his stories.
Billie loved the Lord and was a Christian. He will be truly missed by each and every one of his family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 2-5PM Wednesday, September 29, 2021 in the Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville. Online condolences may be made at www.atchleyfuneralhome.com
