Beverly Ann (Chace) Farrow, 95, a native of Taunton, MA, died on Thursday, May 5, 2022, in Lebanon, NH. She was the former wife of Howard M. Farrow of NH and the former wife of John H. Linscott of ME. She was born in Taunton and graduated from Taunton High School in 1944. She lived in Abington, Needham, Walpole, Foxboro, and returned to Taunton after her retirement in 1992.
Mrs. Farrow worked for the New England Telephone Co. as a service representative from 1944 to 1951, and later was a teller at the Shawmut National Bank in Needham, Canton, and Norwood. In 1981, she became a licensed insurance broker and worked at the Herb Lewis Agency for eleven years.
She was an active member of St. Thomas Church, serving on the Alter Guild and the Prayer Shawl Knitting Group and was Chair of the Episcopal Church Women from 1997 to 1999. She was a member of the Taunton Woman's Club and served as the organization's president from 1998 to 2000, she then served as the Southeastern District Director under the General Federation of Women's Clubs of MA from 2000-2004. She was the "Queen Mum" of the Silver City Red Hatters, a Friend of the Boston Symphony Orchestra, Friend of the Taunton Public Library, a member of the Old Colony Historical Society, and was the Treasurer of the Class of 1944 Taunton High School Reunion Committee. She enjoyed oil painting, opera, classical music, 30s and 40s music, bridge, scrabble, golf, dancing, and reading. She loved traveling with her sister Barbara, her niece Linda, and her close friends to many US states, Europe, and enjoyed many Caribbean cruises.
She was the daughter of the late E. Louise and Leon W. Chace and sister of the late Barbara Poole.
She is survived by her son John David Farrow of White River Junction, VT; three grandsons Matthew J. Farrow and wife Katherine of Niskayuna, NY, Patrick H. Farrow and wife Katelyn of Cape Cod, MA, and John Maxwell Farrow of Orono, ME; three great grandchildren Gavin Farrow, Elizabeth Farrow, and Henry Farrow; two nieces and a nephew, several grand nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10 am on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, in Taunton, MA and a burial prayer will immediately follow at Westville Cemetery with a reception to follow.
